  • I have Small/Large/Flat/Deformed nipples. Is your breastpump going to work for me?

There is no reason why not. Our breast pump has been used by mothers with Small, Large, Medium, Flat, Inverted and Deformed nipples and have all loved it! We offer 3 sizes in breast cushions 22mm (standard in your kit), 25mm and 28mm are available to purchase separately here - https://www.milkbarnewzealand.com/product/details/pumps-and-more/milkbar-advanced-flow-suction-kit

  • Can I switch out my 22mm suction kit for a larger size when I purchase the Advanced Flow Breast Pump?

While we would love to be able to make exchanges of these kits, our current shipping set up does not allow for this. The larger kit will need to be purchased alongside the breast pump. While we hate seeing kits go unused, if you do not require your 22mm kit whatsoever, please get in touch at info@milkbarnewzealand.com and the 22mm kit can be returned to us (in as new condition) in exchange for an online store credit.

  • I’m exclusively pumping and been told to get a hospital grade Breast Pump but I love the sound of yours – will it be ok to use for exclusive pumping?

The Milkbar Advanced Flow Breast Pump has recently been certified as a Hospital Grade Breast Pump. The Advanced Flow Breast Pump is capable of keeping up with 3-4 hourly pumping for one user exclusively pumping. You may find you need to re-charge more frequently if using the unit un-plugged when exclusively pumping.

  • My clothing arrived and doesn’t fit / look right / just not me – can I get an exchange or refund?

Yes you sure can. Exchanges and Returns can be made within 7 business days of receiving the item if the item is unworn, unwashed, tags attached and in original condition. Please contact us at info@milkbarnewzealand.com to arrange.

  • I have received my Advanced Flow Breast Pump – do I need to clean it before use?

How exciting!! We can’t wait for you to experience using our breast pump – but yes, please clean and sterilise the breast pump prior to first using it.

  • How do I clean and sterilise my Advanced Flow Breast Pump?

After each use we recommend washing everything except the tubing (as it’s a closed system), the white cap, the diaphragm and the white casing of the flange. These items can be washed or wiped down as required as do not come into contact with Breastmilk.

The other parts (suction kit body, valve, membrane, silicone cushion and bottle) can be washed in hot soapy water using a clean bottle brush after each pumping session. Be sure to remove the membrane from the valve and scrub as thoroughly as possible inside.

Sterilizing can be done once at the end of the day when bub is 3+ months, and after each use if bubs is under 3 months. Sterilizing can be done in a steam sterilizer (as per instructions of your sterilizer) or submerge the items in clean water and boil the parts for 10mins to sterilize. Air dry them thoroughly on a clean tea towel or handy towels. Milton tablets can also be used to sterilize items. Fill a 2L tub with clean, cold water and add one tablet. Submerge cleaned items and leave for at least 15 minutes, remove and shake off excess water then place on clean tea towel or handy towel to dry.
